Our Nursing Home is a permanent facility that provides its residents with 24-hour care and meets their necessary housing, educational, social and religious needs in line with applicable standards.
The aim of our services is to provide our residents with proper conditions for safe and dignified life, privacy, independence, personal growth and – as much as possible – self-reliance.
CARE SERVICES
I. Assistance in basic activities of everyday life (carers: 24-hour)
- Feeding persons unable to eat on their own
- Help in preparing meals, feeding (making sandwiches, grinding down, cutting),
- Sorting out the dishes after meals,
- Administration of fluids (giving drinks) – in case of persons who need such assistance,

- Assistance with physiological needs (persons who require such help),
- Trimming one’s fingernails and toenails (persons who require such help),
- Facial shaving (persons who require such help),
- Cutting one’s hair (bedridden and disabled persons),
- Assistance in shaving (persons who require such help),
- Mouth hygiene, including cleaning of dentures and assistance in putting them in (persons who require such help),
- Bathing (persons unable to do it on their own),
- Washing one’s head (persons unable to do it on their own),
- Taking disabled and bedridden persons to the open air,
- Assistance in washing one’s head (persons unable to do it on their own).
II. Comprehensive health, nursing and rehabilitation care provided by external supplier.
III. Nursing services rendered by our care staff: (24-hour)
- Administration of medications – as recommended by physicians,
- Dressings – as recommended by physicians,
- Poultices, compresses – as recommended by physicians,
- Rubbing with medicaments,
- Dropping of medications into one’s nose, eyes, ears,
- Measurement of temperature, pulse, blood pressure,
- Clapping, respiratory gymnastics – as recommended by physicians.
IV. Improving fitness of our residents and getting them motivated
- Occupational therapy
– meetings and special events,
– manual skills activities,
– individual therapy with a resident,
– assistance in preparation of events organized by our residents,
– shopping trips (once a week).
- Access to the laundry room to wash one’s underwear (under supervision of carers)
- Participation in cleaning of one’s own room (under supervision of carer between 8:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m.),
- Assistance necessary in doing one’s personal errands (social workers: Monday to Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.).
- Correspondence,
- Assistance in dealing with administrative matters (e.g. Social Insurance Office (ZUS), National Health Fund (NFZ), residence registration formalities),
- Safe deposit for money and valuable items – as defined in regulations,
- Assistance in testamentary formalities.
SUPPORTIVE SERVICES
- Pastoral service (Holy Mass in the Roman Catholic rite is celebrated every Saturday, other denominations as arranged).
- Management of the Nursing House is available at fixed hours – Monday to Friday from 8:00 to 9:00 a.m. and from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m.
- Library and daily press available Monday to Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
- We motivate our residents to establish, maintain and foster contacts with their families and environment.
- Our psychologist is available for all residents (twice a week).
- We encourage our residents to develop their own autonomy.
- We ensure that rights of residents are observed and that they have access to information about their own rights.
- We support initiatives taken to the benefit of the local environment.
- Our services include organization of a funeral in accordance with instructions of our late resident.
HOUSING SERVICES
I. Our Nursing Home is equipped with the following amenities:
- Three ramps matching needs of the disabled (at the main entrance and entrance to the canteen),
- Wheelchair lift (ground floor),
- Lift,
- Alarm and call system (in every living quarters, bathroom and hall),
- Alarm and fire system (in living quarters and commonly available rooms),
- Living quarters:
– 72 single rooms with a bathroom, hall and balcony
– 32 single rooms with a shared hall and bathroom
All living quarters are equipped with:
- a bed,
- a table,
- two chairs,
- a cabinet,
- a wardrobe,
- a cupboard,
- a TV cabinet,
- wiring,
- central heating system,
- hot and cold water.
Moreover, we provide our residents with bed linen, blankets, towels etc.
II. Our residents can also take benefit of the following amenities:
- Living room (occupational therapy meetings are held there, too),
- dining room,
- nurse’s office,
- rehabilitation rooms (a gym and two physiotherapy rooms),
- portable stoves (on every floor),
- laundry room and drying room,
- spare room,
- chapel.
III. Meals for our residents are provided by an external caterer
- Selection of meals from the menu.
- Special diet – upon physician’s recommendation.
- Additional meals – extra payment required.
- Basic food products and drinks are available 24 hours (bread, butter, cheese, jam, tea).
- Meals can be consumed in living quarters only upon explicit recommendation of a physician.
IV. Other housing services.
- Our residents can be supplied with essential clothing, if necessary.
- We can provide our residents with personal cleansing agents, toiletries and other items used for personal hygiene.
- Our Nursing Home follows adopted cleaning schedule.
- In case of deterioration of one’s health we offer:– rehabilitation equipment
– hospital beds
– walkers
– wheelchairs
– crutches - Our residents can order simple tailor’s services (once a week).
- They can also participate in various indoor and outdoor works from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
- Personal telephone line can be installed in living quarters at request.
